The Food Forager is an inspiring new food delivery website brought to you by the team behind Thyme & Tides Deli in Stockbridge.

Over the years we have discovered many small unique producers local to us here in Hampshire, as well as further afield in the UK & Europe. After a year that none of us could have predicted we quickly adapted the deli and offered an interim delivery service during lockdown which proved hugely popular.

Drum Roll....The Food Forager!  An online business where you can choose from a carefully curated selection of day to day items as well as luxury foods. All of which would make a great gift for friends, family, clients or just for you!

We have had the pleasure of spending the day with two fantastic celebrated chefs, Gill Meller & Valentine Warner who have created a selection of delicious recipes for us using the very best of locally sourced products from around Hampshire and neighboring counties.

Gill Meller

I am a chef, food writer, author, food stylist and cookery teacher. I live and work near the small fishing town of Lyme Regis, in Dorset. I have been part of the River Cottage team for 11 years working closely with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall across the breadth of the business. I like to think my cooking is a reflection of my surroundings. I take inspiration from the landscape, my locality, and the amazing farmers, growers, and fishermen that produce the ingredients I use.

Root, Stem, Leaf, Flower is his recent cookbook that was published in May 2020, it's about making the most of the land's bounty in your everyday cooking.

 

Valentine Warner

Valentine Warner is a cook, food writer and broadcaster. Training originally as an artist, he went on to become a chef in London’s kitchens for five years before running his own catering company. His passion for nature and provincial food has seen him travel worldwide. Valentine has written five cookery books, three of which he illustrated. Val is a Partner in the Hepple Spirit's Co Distillery

His most recent book The Consolation of Food: Stories about Life and Death, seasoned with recipes was published in 2019.
